400 Homeless Veterans in Alameda County to Receive Homes and Services

July 11th, 2013

We are pleased to announce that Abode Services has received renewed funding from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for the Every Veteran Home program.

Every Veteran Home is a coalition of nonprofits (led by Abode Services, with Operation DignityLifeLong Medical Care, and Building Futures with Women and Children) working to end homelessness among veterans and their families in Alameda County. Last year, the program served more than 200 homeless veteran families.

This year, based on our successful outcomes to date, we requested and received funding from the VA to double our original goal for the number of families served. In the coming year, the Every Veteran Home coalition partners will serve 400 veteran families as we work to ensure that every veteran in Alameda County has a home.
