Inspirational Video Spotlights Successes Earned by Abode Services Participants

March 16th, 2017

Two Abode Services participants who left homelessness behind and turned their lives around were featured in our inspirational Journey Home Breakfast video, which was screened for hundreds of people who joined us at our yearly fundraiser.

The featured Abode participants -- Eugene and Cesna -- shared their individual comeback stories in the video, illustrating the important role that Abode Services played in their journeys from homelessness back to a home. Eugene, whose nickname is Gene-O, has fulfilled his dream of conquering addiction and providing a home for his young son.

Cesna and her husband Junior have their own housing, now that Junior has a full-time job and Cesna works part-time in the real estate industry. They are doing so well, they've begun making regular donations to Abode Services as a way of giving back to the organization that helped them.

The video first screened at our 12th annual Journey Home Breakfast fundraiser on March 3. It can be viewed again online at our website or on Vimeo

If you missed the fundraiser, there's still time to make a secure donation to Abode Services by clicking here. You can make that donation knowing we will put it to use right away to benefit members of our community.
