September 9th, 2019

Abode Services is honored to announce that the Sobrato Family Foundation has awarded it an Essential Human Services grants. The Foundation awards this grant to a number of "organizations that serve low-income clients in Silicon Valley with essential services and safety net services."

The Sobrato Family Foundation helps low-income, at-risk communities that are underserved and blocked from opportunities by language and economic barriers, as well as other obstacles.

Funding from the foundation will help support Abode programs that are helping vulnerable people in Alameda, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Santa Curz, and Napa counties escape the crisis of homelessness and work toward self-sufficiency.

Abode, the Bay Area's leading provider of supportive housing services to homeless people, has been awarded Charity Navigator's top four-star rating for accountability, transparency, and fiscal management for 14 consecutive years.

"We strive to ensure the hard-earned dollars community members contribute are used in the best way possible," said Louis Chicoine, Abode Services' executive director. "We know that people and organizations donate to us to help us with our mission."

Abode sincerely thanks the Sobrato Family Foundation for this generous grant and for their continued support.
