Kids Against Hunger

November 18th, 2019

We'd like to give big thanks to Kids Against Hunger Fremont and Mission Valley Elementary School students, staff, and volunteers for recently packing almost 14,000 meals for families in need.

The pre-packed meals will help Abode Services participants who will receive the meals through our HOPE Project Mobile Health Clinic.

Kids Against Hunger Fremont is a nonprofit organization that educates Fremont students and residents about world hunger and what each person can do to help end it.

The meal-packing session was planned by the Kids Against Hunger Fremont Humanitarian Educational Project, which is part of a pilot partnership with Abode Services’ HOPE Project Mobile Health Clinic.

Abode’s mobile clinic provides health and social services to homeless people in southern and eastern Alameda County. We operate the mobile clinic with Tri-City Health Center.

Thanks again to everyone who gave their time to pack the meals. We look forward to partnering again with Kids Against Hunger Fremont and other community members for this project!
