If your business or community organization is looking for a philanthropic partnership that reflects your goals and the interests of your employees or members, contact us. We work with many businesses, service groups, and faith communities to implement projects with a true community impact.
Volunteering at Abode Services offers local corporations a great way to engage employees in their local community and have fun.
Employees from Keller Williams volunteer at Sunrise Village Emergency Shelter.
With an ongoing monthly gift to Abode Services, your organization can show its continuing support for our mission to end homelessness in our community. Making a pledge (e.g., a commitment to give $500 each year for 4 years) also helps us plan for future needs. Recognition opportunities are available for organizations that donate $5,000 per year and above; contact us for more information.
Publicize your organization’s commitment to social responsibility and investing locally by sponsoring an Abode Services event. Our sole annual fundraiser, the Journey Home Breakfast held each March, puts sponsors’ names in front of more than 400 guests, including decision makers from local businesses, service groups, and government agencies. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available for our volunteer recognition event, held every other year.
Your employees give their time and resources to the organizations they care about. A corporate matching gift enables them to have an even greater impact on the causes that matter to their community – and yours.
Home Warming Program
Your organization can have a direct impact on the life of a family or individual in our programs moving into a new home. Through the Home Warming Program, you can sponsor such a household, providing them with furniture, linens, kitchen supplies, a basket of pantry items, funds for deposit and moving assistance – all things that turn a new apartment into a home.
Schedule a tour to see and learn more about one of our program and housing sites. Communities such as Sunrise Village Emergency Shelter and Main Street Village Apartments provide services in settings designed to be dignified, supportive, and environmentally friendly.
Are you looking for a service project for a group of your employees or members? We would be happy to speak with you about setting up a project at Sunrise Village Emergency Shelter or another site. Previous projects have involved groups in painting, gardening, assembling furniture, cleaning, and more.
In-kind Donations or Services
The people in our programs range from infants to grandparents, high school students to individuals with graduate degrees. Their needs are equally varied, from teething rings to pens to help preparing a resume and cover letter. If you would like to discuss how you can provide in-kind support for the people in our programs, please contact us.
To learn more about these giving opportunities, contact Development Officer Carol Arata at (510) 657-7409 ext. 203 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
