San Francisco County

Abode has been working in the City and County of San Francisco since January 2021. Our efforts there include providing permanent supportive housing, services, and financial assistance to formerly homeless people. In addition, we manage affordable housing and help families and individuals find and keep housing.

HoTeL Verona

We manage Hotel Verona, a site for affordable housing in the city and county of San Francisco. The former hotel, which was built in 1920, has been converted into a 65-unit supportive housing site in downtown San Francisco.

Each unit is set aside for single women who have been referred for housing by the Coordinated Entry program.

Hotel Verona is close to San Francisco’s Financial District, as well as multiple BART stations and other public transit options, including MUNI bus lines.

Abode is partnering at the site with Housing for Independent People (HIP), a Bay Area nonprofit group that owns and manages affordable housing. Six full-time Abode employees work at the site, providing residents with services and property management assistance.

Hotel Verona is a program Abode has begun administering to provide housing and services to formerly homeless people in San Francisco.
