Solano County

Abode has been working in Solano County since late 2023.

Solano County leaders have tasked us with partnering with the Behavioral Health Bridge Housing (BHBH) program to address the housing needs of people experiencing homelessness who have serious behavioral health conditions.

We were selected to design and implement Solano County’s BHBH grant program and develop a comprehensive and targeted approach that addresses the unique challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness.

We are tasked with helping those individuals find suitable housing options, such as respite housing, rapid rehousing, subsidized rent, and permanent supportive housing.

Featured Programs & Services

Our programs and services in Solano County include Homeless Outreach, Housing Navigation, Landlord Engagement, Rental Subsidy Administration, Rapid Rehousing, and Permanent Supportive Housing.

  • Street Outreach: We connect individuals experiencing homelessness and a behavioral health condition to a wide range of community resources and services, as well as provide for their immediate needs.

  • Housing Navigation: We assist individuals with severe behavioral health conditions, helping them gain access to and secure suitable housing options.

  • Landlord Liaison and Rental Subsidy Administration: We engage with landlords to secure suitable housing for program participants, administer rental subsidies, and maintain positive landlord relationships.

  • Rapid Rehousing: We provide short-term assistance to individuals experiencing homelessness to quickly transition into and maintain stable housing.

  • Permanent Supportive Housing: We manage several types of PSH units and provide ongoing supportive services, fusing affordable housing with wraparound support to individuals with chronic behavioral health conditions.

This integrated model enables swift and effective transitions for Abode participants between services, enhancing their chances of successful housing placement and long-term stability.

The goal is to ensure that individuals receiving outreach support will have immediate access to key resources and ultimately leading to efficient and impactful outcomes for the individuals and families served.
