Volunteer
More than 5,000 community volunteers give their time and skills to Abode each year, helping us provide assistance to participants at our shelter and in other programs.

Volunteering at Abode
NOTE: To volunteer at Abode, you must be vaccinated against Covid-19 and be at least 12 years old.
Our terrific volunteers serve in a variety of roles, including:
serving on our Board of Directors,
serving on committees
preparing and serving meals,
tutoring and leading children’s activities,
helping to sort and store donated items,
performing light cleaning,
performing yard work and other maintenance,
providing office and front desk support,
helping out during the holidays,
assisting staff at special events,
and more!
To volunteer, you must be vaccinated against Covid-19 and be at least 12 years old.

After you submit your application, we will contact you. All prospective volunteers must be approved on the volunteer calendar by an Abode staff member.
