Abode Awards Volunteers for Service and Dedication

Volunteers play a crucial role in our mission. Last year, more than 5,000 volunteers performed nearly 12,000 hours of service, brightening the days of many of our participants.

In honor of Volunteer Appreciation Week this year — which ran from April 19-25 — we had intended to hold a reception to celebrate the community members who regularly donate their time to assist those in our programs.

Those plans were dashed in April, though, as we were unable to host our Volunteer Appreciation Reception because of shelter-in-place requirements in response to COVID-19. However, we still want to recognize our volunteers for their stellar efforts. That is why we are proud to announce we are honoring the following individuals and groups with awards for their dedicated work.

This year’s list of award-winning volunteers includes:

Distinguished Service Award
Pam Stewart

Take Action Award
Girl Scouts - Troop #31381

Community Service Award
Fremont Family and Friends

Community Service Award
Karen Bresler and Friends

We deeply appreciate all of our volunteers who give so much time and energy to help us continue our work to end homelessness in our community. Thank you again!
